sanity ensues
yes, i'm still alive and kicking. i am really sorry that i haven't updated anything in such a long time. thanks so much to those of you that have sent me messages asking if i was ok and when i was going to update this. you guys (and gals) are so cool.
i am fine and have only my own humility to blame for my falling off the face of the blogosphere. i don't really have a valid reason why i suddenly disappeared. i have been keeping track of everyone and have been visiting everyone's blogs regularly. so why have i been so quiet? i guess it's just that i really haven't done much of anything training related this summer. with all the kids' activities, work and school, i just couldn't get motivated to train. i don't know why. i wish i did. and as i read more and more about everyone else's awesome accomplishments, i started feeling almost embarrassed about my own lack of self discipline to do anything useful. hence, i stopped updating and even commenting to everyone. i now realize how selfish that was of me. so i want to say sorry to everyone about that. *SORRY!!*
so what have i been doing? well actually i have been doing some training. my friend darrin finally bought a road bike a couple of months ago, so we've been riding a little. he got himself an awesome yellow felt s25 with all the goodies. he hasn't named it yet. come to think of it, i haven't named my bike yet either, and i've had it for about three years... i haven't been running that much, but i did do 3 miles monday and tuesday nite, and i was going to do another 3 miles last nite, but we had some pretty nasty thunderstorms, so i thought it best to stay inside.
you may remember that my original plan was to do IMMOO in 2006. well, for financial and other reasons, that didn't happen. but i am going to sign up for an IM for 2007. i promise! i'm not sure which one. darrin signed up for IMMOO, so i'll train with him and that'll start getting me into shape.
finally, i want to belatedly congratulate you guys for having a great summer. some of you achieved milestone distances, such as wil, kahuna, and vertical man. and i know at least one of you (shelley) has a little race coming up in a couple of weeks that's kinda important!! i'm sure i've forgotten someone, but those are the ones i could think of off the top of my head... sorry!
anyway, i think i've returned to sanity now after my goofy summer hiatus. thanks again to the tri-alliance group for pulling me back in to where i want (and need) to be.
